Weekly Newsletter, My BOOKTUBE Is Live, Quiet Time Reading Club

Hello Friends,

Happy Monday! My Booktube is finally live for everyone! check it out here on Youtube.

I tried rewatching this post editing and had one very important question: WHY DO I SOUND LIKE THIS?

Let me know what kind of videos you'd like to see from me.

If you didn't know, it takes 1,000 followers and 4,000 hours to become monetized on Youtube. So follow me and play this video on silent in the background a few times? <3 you!

What I'm Reading

This past week I finished two books:

The Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler

This is a bleak dystopian that is set in....2024! I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't devastated enough. Masterfully crafted. This woman saw our future. We are living this book. I'm not sure I can handle the sequel right now.

A Tropical Rebel Gets The Duke (Las Léonas #3) by Adriana Herrera

This is the third book in a historical romance series following 3 friends. They don't NEED to be read in order, but it's fun to see the call backs to the previous books, so I would recommend reading them in order. This one was my FAVORITE of the series. The main character is a doctor in Victorian Paris who tends to women seeking special care (abortions, pregnancy, sex care). Lots of important discussions here. The romance and spicy scenes in this book were TOP TIER. This may be my favorite romance book yet. If you've read these, please give me similar recommendations!

Currently Reading

Mongrels by Stephen Graham Jones

This is a coming of age werewolf story told by the master of horror. Most folks say that this is the best werewolf novel they have read, so I HOPE THAT IS TRUE>

Currently Watching

I will be catching up on Yellow Jackets this week!
